Trusted by more than a thousand multinational employers, health plans, and health systems, Carrot's comprehensive clinical program delivers industry-leading cost savings for employers and award-winning experiences for millions of people worldwide. From maternity through menopause and pre-pregnancy through parenting, Carrot is dedicated to expanding access and improving outcomes. Carrot empowers members with compassionate, personalized, and inclusive support. The Opportunity 🚀 We're looking for a Lead Product Designer to shape the end-to-end experience for members. You'll own design from concept through execution for our mobile app priorities. You'll report to our Director of Product and be the design lead for this team, with the opportunity to pair with product designers working on other parts of the Carrot experience. The work spans two levels. You'll go deep on individual mobile-first experiences, including Sprints, our program for members working on their metabolic health alongside fertility, pregnancy, and menopause care. You'll also design how distinct pieces of the member experience fit together into one seamless mobile experience. What You’ll Own 💼 In this role, you will: • Own mobile design end to end — concept through high-fidelity execution on iOS and Android. • Bring the pieces together — design the information architecture and navigation that make distinct parts of the member experience feel like one product. • Design for return, not just first use — drive adoption and retention through experiences that earn a member's attention daily, weekly, and monthly. • Make complexity feel simple — turn large, dynamic, nuanced information into something members trust at a glance. • Partner closely with our Content Designer so visual and written communication land as one experience. • Ground decisions in evidence — run qualitative and quantitative research, and use it to back what we build. • Grow our design system with accessibility, consistency, and scalability in mind. What Success Looks Like 📈 In your first 12–18 months, you will have: • Shipped design work that measurably moved member adoption and engagement, with metrics you can point to. • Conducted user research and testing and developed a sharp sense of updates to best drive member engagement and business goals. • Contributed to our design system- letting teams ship faster and more consistently. About You ✨ You likely have: • A Bachelor's Degree • 10+ years in product/UX design, with a portfolio of mobile-first work and end-to-end ownership of complex, multi-step journeys • Experience building and working on consumer apps focused on daily and weekly active usage • A track record designing for engagement and retention — habit formation, behavior change, wellness, or similar • AI as a core part of your design practice, plus experience designing AI-powered product experiences • Systems thinking to create experiences that feel clean and simple for users • Strong visual and interaction craft, hands-on prototyping, and fluency with building products people love to use • Experience leading user research or usability testing Nice to Have ⭐ While not required, we would be especially excited if you bring: • Experience with behavior change frameworks or gamification • Experience helping teammates develop as designers • Empathy and sensitivity to the challenges of healthcare journeys Why This Role Matters 🧡 Fertility, pregnancy, and menopause care unfold over years, not appointments. Much of what shapes a member's outcome happens between clinical visits. Nobody returns to an app out of obligation — they return because it's useful, respects their time, and doesn't make them feel judged. Design is the difference. Engagement here isn't a vanity metric; it's how the product does anything at all for a member's health. You will shape that experience, with the opportunity to put your work in front of millions of people. Learn more at get-carrot.com . The Opportunity 🚀 Carrot is expanding its telemedicine clinic with a network of part-time to full-time, fully remote Registered Nurses who deliver evidence-based virtual care to members across all U.S. states. As an RN in this network, you are often the first clinical touchpoint for members navigating fertility, menopause, hormonal, and metabolic health journeys, providing triage, education, care coordination, and documentation that shape the entire care experience. All work in this role is performed within RN scope of practice. RNs provide triage, education, care coordination, and documentation; they do not diagnose, do not prescribe, and do not independently modify a treatment plan. Anything requiring clinical judgment beyond RN scope is routed to a physician, so sound escalation judgment is central to the role. This is a contractor engagement of approximately 20-40 hours per week, with scheduled shifts within the Monday-Friday, 8:00a-6:00p CST coverage window. What You’ll Own 💼 In this role, you will: • Serve as the first clinical reviewer of inbound member messages, triaging for urgency, escalating to a physician when needed, and routing non-clinical threads to the appropriate support team. • Deliver member education on menopause staging, hormone therapy, preconception health, metabolic health, and medication administration. • Review and triage incoming lab results, escalate critical findings per protocol, retrieve outside records, and coordinate specialist referrals. • Manage pharmacy callbacks and prior authorizations in coordination with the care team. • Document all clinically relevant interactions same-day, create tracked internal tasks with named owners, and follow established escalation pathways. • Maintain active NLC multi-state licensure, complete required credentialing and onboarding, and adhere to HIPAA, continuing education, and liability coverage requirements. • Contribute to chart audits and clinical protocol feedback as the telemedicine program scales. What Success Looks Like 📈 In your first 12–18 months, you will have: • Established a consistent record of accurate, protocol-aligned triage with appropriate physician escalation and no missed critical lab values. • Maintained same-day documentation and timely lab follow-up, with no outstanding credentialing or compliance gaps. • Delivered high-quality member education across menopause, preconception, hormone therapy, and metabolic health topics, reflected in strong member experience results. • Managed care coordination workflows reliably within your coverage window, including referrals, records retrieval, prior authorizations, and pharmacy callbacks. • Contributed to chart audits, protocol feedback, and quality improvement as the telemedicine program scales. About You ✨ You likely have: • An active, unrestricted RN license with NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact) multi-state privileges, in good standing, plus an ADN or BSN from an accredited program (BSN preferred). • A minimum of 3 years of active RN clinical experience, with meaningful experience in women's health, reproductive health, OB/GYN, fertility, endocrinology, or menopause care. • Demonstrated nurse triage experience, including assessing urgency, applying protocol, escalating appropriately, and recognizing critical lab values. • A clear understanding of RN scope of practice and sound judgment about when to escalate. • Strong written communication for asynchronous messaging and a strong phone presence for symptom assessment and instruction. • Proficiency with EHR and telehealth systems, secure messaging, and e-fax workflows. • Familiarity with HIPAA and applicable telemedicine privacy, security, and regulatory requirements. • The ability to commit to scheduled shifts within the Monday-Friday, 8:00a-6:00p CST coverage window, with a HIPAA-compliant, private home workspace and reliable internet. Nice to Have ⭐ While not required, we would be especially excited if you bring: • Experience in a dedicated menopause clinic, fertility center, REI practice, or comparable specialty program. • Familiarity with preconception and fertility workup, including AMH and hormone panels, ovulation tracking, and cycle-monitoring labs. • Hormone therapy education experience, including prior authorization workflows. • Experience supporting members on anti-obesity medications, including GLP-1 receptor agonists. • Prior experience in digital health, health benefits, or multi-state telemedicine environments. • Experience contributing to clinical protocol development, quality improvement, or member-facing clinical content. • Experience supporting diverse and historically underserved populations, including LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse individuals. • Relevant certification (e.g., MSCP through The Menopause Society, RNC-OB) and/or fluency in an additional language. Why This Role Matters 🧡 Carrot's RN network is the front line of the telemedicine clinic. RNs are typically the first clinician a member reaches, and the quality of their triage judgment, education, and follow-through directly determines member safety, trust, and the experience of care during some of the most personal moments of members' lives. This role also keeps the clinical program running well as it scales. Reliable triage, same-day documentation, and disciplined escalation protect physician capacity for the decisions that require it, while expanding access to guideline-aligned fertility, menopause, and metabolic health support for members who often cannot find it locally. **Why Candidates Join Carrot 🌍** Carrot offers the opportunity to do meaningful work in service of a deeply human mission. What You’ll Own 💼 In this role, you will: • Provide virtual consultations (video and/or phone) within your area(s) of expertise, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of menopausal, fertility, and related hormonal and metabolic concerns. • Apply current ACOG, ASRM, and The Menopause Society guidelines with individualized, shared decision-making. • Assess and manage metabolic health as a routine part of visits, including prescribing and managing anti-obesity medications such as GLP-1 receptor agonists within clinical protocols where appropriate. • Document visits accurately and on time, order and interpret relevant labs, and coordinate referrals to primary care, OB/GYN, endocrinology, behavioral health, or subspecialists as needed. • Maintain active, unrestricted multi-state clinical licensure, complete credentialing and payer enrollment, and maintain eligibility for additional state licenses to expand coverage. • Contribute to member experience and quality through strong virtual visit presence, effective use of telehealth and EHR systems, participation in chart audits and case reviews, and staying current with emerging research and regulatory changes. What Success Looks Like 📈 In your first 12–18 months, you will have: • Established a consistent panel of high-quality virtual visits within your clinical area(s), with strong member experience and visit quality results. • Maintained timely, accurate documentation and lab follow-up, with no outstanding credentialing or compliance gaps. • Expanded your state licensure coverage in line with program needs, supporting broader member access. • Integrated metabolic assessment and management, including GLP-1 protocols where clinically appropriate, as a routine part of your visits. • Contributed to chart audits, case reviews, and clinical protocol refinement as the telemedicine program scales. About You ✨ You likely have: • An MD or DO in Obstetrics/Gynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI), Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Endocrinology; or you are a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner (e.g., WHNP, adult/gerontology NP, FNP) with demonstrated expertise in the applicable clinical area. • A minimum of 3-5+ years of active clinical experience in early fertility support, menopause care, or both, including evaluation, treatment, and longitudinal management. • An active, unrestricted U.S. medical license; multi-state licensure is preferred and IMLC participation is strongly preferred. • For clinicians practicing in the menopause specialty: MSCP certification from The Menopause Society, or certification actively in progress with a clear completion plan. • Familiarity with ACOG, ASRM, and The Menopause Society guidelines. • Prior telemedicine experience (preferred), with comfort managing visits entirely in a virtual environment and a strong virtual presence that supports shared decision-making over video and phone. • Proficiency with telehealth technologies, including video platforms, secure messaging, electronic prescribing, and EHR/clinical documentation tools. • Familiarity with HIPAA and applicable telemedicine privacy, security, and regulatory requirements, along with a HIPAA-compliant home workspace and reliable internet. Nice to Have ⭐ While not required, we would be especially excited if you bring: • Clinical experience spanning both early fertility and menopause, enabling flexible coverage across member journeys. • Experience working in a dedicated menopause clinic, fertility center, or comparable specialty program. • Familiarity with early fertility workup, including AMH testing, ovulation induction, and preconception optimization, with appropriate escalation to in-person ART evaluation. • Experience prescribing and managing anti-obesity medications, including GLP-1 receptor agonists (titration, side-effect management, monitoring, and discontinuation planning); obesity medicine training or ABOM certification is a significant advantage. • Prior experience in digital health, health benefits, or multi-state telemedicine environments. • Experience contributing to clinical protocol development, quality improvement, or member-facing clinical content. • Experience supporting diverse and historically underserved populations, including LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse individuals. • Fluency in an additional language. This role also anchors Carrot's clinical point of view that metabolic health is inseparable from reproductive and hormonal health.
