**About CircuitHub** CircuitHub is reshaping electronics manufacturing with The Grid, a factory-scale robotics platform that makes small-batch, high-mix electronics assembly radically more efficient. Think semiconductor-fab precision applied to the chaotic world of prototyping and low-volume production: a 10x throughput improvement in one of the world's most foundational industries. We've raised $45M from top-tier investors including Plural, Y Combinator and Google Ventures, and we're already profitable. Our customers include a major EV maker, a top AI lab and many of the worlds largest companies. The Grid isn't a prototype. It's live, scaling fast and delivering real revenue, and we're building the team that will scale it further. **What you'll do** • Inspect boards. Improve automated optical inspection that finds missing, rotated and wrongly placed parts and bad solder, working alongside our AI agents. • Pick reliably. Train and deploy the models that find parts in bins and trays, centre them on the nozzle and catch a clumped or dropped pick. • Align precisely. Fiducial detection, calibration and image alignment for placements measured in fractions of a millimetre. • Build the data loop. Decide what to capture, build labelling tools, and turn operator verdicts into training data. • Go fast. Work with our high-speed cameras and GPU capture pipeline to move vision closer to real time. • Measure it. Track accuracy in production, find where errors come from, and prove every change against past results. **What we look for** • You've shipped computer vision into production, beyond a notebook. • Strong software engineering in Python, C++ or a comparable language. • A mix of classical vision (geometry, calibration, template matching) and deep learning; you know when each is the right tool. • Experience with industrial or machine-vision cameras is a bonus. • You use coding agents to move faster and take full ownership of what they produce. • You like the physical world: lighting, lenses and parts rotated by 90°. **Stack** • Vision: OpenCV, PyTorch and Lightning, ONNX Runtime on GPU, libtorch from Haskell • Cameras: Basler GigE cameras via pylon, high-speed cameras with GPUDirect capture • Services: Python and Haskell, PostgreSQL, Nix and NixOS **Pay** UK £80k–£125k · US $125k–$250k, depending on experience, plus equity.

It's live, scaling fast and delivering real revenue, and we're building the team that will scale it further. **What You’ll Do** As a Product Engineer at CircuitHub, you will own entire production software systems end-to-end, from understanding operational problems on the factory floor through designing, building, deploying, and operating the software that solves them. You’ll be responsible for entire systems rather than isolated tickets, owning problems from discovery through deployment and operational impact. This includes building and maintaining the internal operational stack that seamlessly connects planning, materials, purchasing, personnel, and factory processes, transforming complex manufacturing workflows into highly reliable, usable software. You’ll partner closely with factory operators, engineers, and company leadership to ensure CircuitHub’s factories scale smoothly as demand and Grid capabilities grow. Example Projects: • Develop production planning tools and inventory/materials-flow systems • Improve factory operator workflows • Integrate new automation equipment • Apply AI and LLMs to automate operational decision making, from purchasing and production planning to machine diagnostics and debugging. • Build the software systems that coordinate thousands of manufacturing decisions across people, robots, inventory, and suppliers in real time. **What We’re Looking For** Must-haves • Strong PostgreSQL experience: complex queries, performance tuning, and schema design • Solid data modeling and systems-design judgment • Hands-on systems integration: stitching together APIs, tools, and workflows that hold up in production • Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to ship production systems quickly and reliably. • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to CircuitHub factories (US and UK) and spend time on the factory floor partnering closely with operators and engineers. Nice-to-haves • Familiarity with manufacturing, logistics, ERP/MRP, or supply-chain systems • Experience building internal tools or operational software • Experience keeping mission-critical operational systems fast and reliable • Comfortable collaborating closely with internal teams on regular basis **Who You'll Work With** You’ll work directly with the Head of Internal Software and company leadership to identify bottlenecks and turn them into software systems that improve factory throughput. You'll join the internal software team and work alongside engineers, factory operators, and leadership. In your first 6–12 months, success looks like owning a meaningful slice of the production operations stack outright and measurably improving the reliability and throughput of the operations it supports. **Location & Work Environment** • Offices: South Deerfield MA, US; London and Cambridge, UK • Flexible arrangements: remote, hybrid, or in-person • This is potentially a remote role open to candidates who can maintain at least four hours of daily overlap with both our US East Coast and UK teams. • While the role can be remote, successful candidates should expect regular travel to CircuitHub factories (in US and UK) and hands-on engagement with production operations. **Compensation** • UK: £80k–£125k • US: $125k–$250k • Plus equity This is a single posting open across multiple levels. Your level and offer are calibrated to your experience, and we're happy to discuss where you'd land early in the process.

Design the core abstractions: how robots, cameras, tools and jobs are modelled, how work is planned and dispatched, how state is shared and how failures are handled. Decide what belongs in Python and what needs Rust. • Bring in new vision. Integrate novel computer vision algorithms into the control loop, from finding and centring parts to checking every pick and placement, and make them fast and reliable enough for production. • Build agentic robotics. Put large models to work in the robots themselves: programming a new part from its datasheet, judging a pick from a camera image, diagnosing a fault and recovering from it, with evals that prove it works before it runs alone. • Move a fleet. Route dozens of movers at once without collisions or deadlocks, and coordinate gantries, printers and ovens around them. • Bridge to real time. Design clean interfaces between high-level planning and the real-time controllers driving the motors. • Make it observable. Simulation, tracing and replay, so every change is proven before it reaches the factory and every failure can be explained. **What we look for** • You've worked on, and ideally architected, a large-scale robot code base that ran on real hardware in production. • Strong software engineering in Python and Rust (or C++ and a willingness to move to Rust). You care about types, testing, concurrency and clear architecture. • Experience with some of: motion or path planning, multi-robot coordination, controls, perception, scheduling. • Hands-on experience applying large models (LLMs or vision-language models) to robotics, or a strong drive to. • You use coding agents to move faster and take full ownership of what they produce. • You're happy to visit our factories in the US and UK to see your code run. **Stack** • Robot software: Python and Rust • Vision and models: OpenCV, PyTorch, ONNX Runtime, Claude and OpenAI APIs • Planning: multi-agent path-finding, OR-Tools • Data and observability: PostgreSQL, OpenTelemetry, ClickHouse • Agents: Claude Code and Codex throughout **Pay** UK £80k–£125k · US $125k–$250k, depending on experience, plus equity.

**The Role** CircuitHub makes electronics on demand. Engineers upload a circuit board design; we buy the parts, build the board in our own robotic factory and ship it. More and more of that business is now run by AI agents, and we want you to help build them. These aren't chatbots. Our agents have real jobs: • They inspect boards. An agent checks camera images of every panel we build for wrong, rotated or missing parts. • They program robots. Agents read datasheets so our pick-and-place machines know how to handle each new part. • They watch the factory. They spot stray parts in robot storage, diagnose printer faults and clear stuck machines. • They run the back office. They book supplier invoices, chase late orders, explain quotes and triage bugs. • They write our code. Most of what our team ships starts in an agent session. **What you'll do** Find a process people still do by hand and automate it end to end: decide what needs judgement and what needs plain code, build the tools, and prove it works before it runs alone. Then make it cheaper, faster and right more often. You'll also improve the platform every agent runs on, and work closely with the people your work serves, from factory operators to finance. **How we build** • Evals first. An agent earns the right to work alone: blind tests against people's verdicts, shadow runs beside the humans, replays of past decisions. We track accuracy and cost per run, and re-test whenever we change a model, a prompt or the effort level. • Agents judge, code writes. Agents return structured answers. Plain code checks them against a second source and makes every change. • Classical first, model second. Cheap vision and maths narrow the problem so the model only looks where it matters. • Safe by construction. Agents work in sandboxed cloud machines that never hold real credentials, and tool calls are built so a business action can't run twice. **Recent work** • Image alignment ranks the parts on each board photo. The worst 20% of parts hold about 90% of real defects, so the agent only inspects those. In a blind re-run it caught all 13 defects operators had marked. • A photo check for stray parts in robot storage scored 10 out of 10 blind, at about 8¢ a photo. The model it replaced caught about half. • Agent tool calls leave durable receipts, so a session killed mid-deploy resumes without sending the same email or order twice. • Invoices extracted from supplier emails matched what a person had entered 66 times out of 66. • A constraint solver replans the whole factory every two minutes, across robots, ovens and people. **What we look for** • You've put LLM agents into production and can tell us what broke and how you knew it was working. • You're a strong software engineer first. Most of this job is real engineering, not prompting: concurrency, idempotency, data modelling, security. • You build the eval before you trust the result. • You like the physical world: cameras, robots, parts rotated by 90°. • Bonus: computer vision, optimisation or electronics. **Stack** • Agents: Claude Code, Codex, Claude and OpenAI APIs, MCP, skills in plain Markdown • Code: TypeScript (Bun, React), Python (FastAPI, Dagster, OpenCV, OR-Tools), PostgreSQL • Infra: Nix and NixOS, Nomad, Terraform, Vault, AWS, Modal sandboxes, OpenTelemetry **Pay** UK £80k–£125k · US $125k–$250k, depending on experience, plus equity.
