Role Description The Vice-President of Market Expansion is a full-time remote role responsible for driving HEConomie’s growth into new markets and strengthening its presence in existing ones. This role oversees the development and execution of market expansion strategies for events, research initiatives, and partnerships, in alignment with the committee’s mission and objectives. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing macroeconomic trends and market opportunities, identifying and nurturing strategic partnerships, and coordinating with internal research groups to align offerings with market needs. The Vice-President also leads outreach to educational institutions, sponsors, and industry partners, manages sales and engagement pipelines, and monitors performance metrics for expansion initiatives. The role involves collaborating with other leaders on project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation, while ensuring a consistent and inclusive representation of HEConomie across regions. Qualifications Strong analytical skills with experience in interpreting macroeconomic data, market trends, and performance metrics.Knowledge of finance and financial markets, ideally with exposure to investment committees, asset management, or capital markets.Background in sales and business development, including experience building partnerships and managing stakeholder relationships.Familiarity with trading concepts and market mechanisms, with the ability to communicate these effectively to diverse audiences.Project management skills, including planning, execution, prioritization, and coordination across multiple initiatives.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French is an asset.Proven leadership experience and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, economics, business, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are a plus.Demonstrated interest in education, competitions, or student-focused initiatives in finance and economics.
