Who is Wayfarer? Wayfarer is an innovative hotel operations and travel startup in Japan. Founded in late 2019, we manage over 400 rooms across our three brands: Wayfarer, Kabin, and ORI.Our vision as a company is to brighten life for the next generation of everyday travelers. This means we build products that expand beyond just a place to stay; we connect travelers to the local community so they can discover more authentic experiences and explore IRL.We also leverage in-house technology that enables digital touchpoints for superior operating efficiencies and a seamless traveler experience, all without forgetting the human touch and interactions that make travel real.We’re not like most companies. We define what the experience should be, then work hand in hand with every other departments in the company to bring it to life. The team is small and moves fast. You will get real responsibility early, with direction from your manager and support from the whole team. Who you are You are a creative thinker and a meticulous doer who thrives when no two days are the same. You plan carefully and execute with follow-through: when you take on a task, you carry it from first idea to finished result without needing reminders. You are solution oriented: when you hit a problem, you look for a way forward and bring options, not just the problem. You will be trained and supported along the way, but once something is yours, you keep it moving. You are highly communicative, sharing updates before anyone has to ask, and you collaborate naturally with every department.You care about crafting experiences that connect travelers to local culture, and you are comfortable managing logistics, budgets, and timelines without losing sight of the details. Above all, you care about people: what moves them, inspires them, and keeps them coming back. What you will do See your work through from beginning to end. You will start with guidance from your manager, shape it into a clear plan, coordinate the people involved, and close it out properly. Done means followed through: you check that what is marked as done actually works in practice.Run content operations. Keep guest-facing content accurate and high quality across our CMS, OTA listings, house rules, and in-hotel materials, and run recurring content deliverables on a reliable cadence.Support events and guest activities. Help bring cultural events and seasonal activations to life alongside the rest of the team, from scheduling and vendor coordination to on-site execution, making sure every detail meets our standards.Support our partnerships.
