About the role
This internship offers the opportunity to work on experience design from a management perspective—not just engineering—and to grow into a leader who will drive the future of the Mercari Group. You will be challenged with developing features for the flea market app "Mercari," the smartphone payment service "Merpay," and the cryptocurrency/blockchain service "Mercoin" within Japan. Interns will join a team of software engineers with diverse backgrounds and expertise and take on responsibilities as a team member. The internship encourages a 2-3 month duration, with visa support and accommodation arrangements for overseas candidates.
Eligibility
Students aged 16 or older who are expected to join the Mercari Group as new graduates between July 2027 and June 2028 (or October 2027 / April 2028). Must be able to stay in Japan during the internship and work more than 20 hours per week.
