About RHAELM RHAELM is the sovereign AI cloud built to accelerate secure AI deployment at scale, combining power and infrastructure pipelines with global capability and local, in-country operations. This Role This role is based in Tokyo, Japan, owning ICT, BMS, and physical security strategy across RHAELM's Japan data centre portfolio.
As DC ICT / Telco / Security Lead, you will own the strategy, design, and delivery of ICT, building management systems, and physical security across RHAELM's data centre portfolio. You will ensure our facilities are secure, resilient, and fully integrated from a technology standpoint, coordinating construction, design, and commissioning activities across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate strategy, design, and commissioning for ICT, BMS, and physical security across multiple sitesEnsure secure, resilient infrastructure and service delivery that supports business continuity and complianceCoordinate integration of physical security systems with data centre operations, network infrastructure, and life safety systemsEnsure access control, CCTV, alarm monitoring, and perimeter security systems are properly connected, configured, and testedPartner with network and IT teams to validate connectivity, device addressing, and secure deployment requirementsDevelop and support QA/QC processes for physical security and ICT system installation and acceptanceWork closely with construction, commissioning, and vendor teams to ensure systems are delivered on time and to standardReview inspection records, test scripts, commissioning plans, and closeout documentation Experience Significant experience in low-voltage, ICT, and security design and delivery within a data centre or mission-critical environmentExperience acting as embedded subject matter expert within cross-discipline design and delivery teamsTrack record delivering security design packages through kickoff, coordination, and closeoutFamiliarity with BMS/EPMS integration and building controlsExperience managing vendors and subcontractors across ICT and security scopesExperience operating within Japan's construction, engineering, or regulatory market context advantageous Skills Strong understanding of physical security systems and supporting IT infrastructureConfident coordination across network, low-voltage, commissioning, and procurement teamsClear technical documentation and inspection reportingStrong stakeholder management across design, construction, and operationsSound judgement on compliance and industry best practice Qualifications Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, IT, or a related discipline, or equivalent experienceRelevant security or ICT certifications (e.g.
- BICSI, CCTV/access control design) advantageousRelevant health & safety qualifications desirableBased in Tokyo, Japan;
- business-level English required, Japanese language skills advantageous
