Senior Software Engineer JAVA

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the design, development, and operation of large-scale platform services.In this role, you will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to build reliable, scalable, and high-performance systems. Beyond software development, you will participate in architectural decisions, mentor team members, and help improve engineering processes and productivity.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, taking ownership of projects, and driving continuous improvement across systems and teams. Responsibilities Software Development & Delivery Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and platform components.Participate in the complete software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment and support.Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.Ensure system reliability, performance, and maintainability. System Design & Architecture Design and review application architecture for cloud-based systems.Contribute to technology decisions and long-term platform improvements.Identify scalability, security, and performance concerns early in the development process.Support modern architecture patterns including microservices and event-driven systems. Engineering Excellence Conduct code reviews and promote development best practices.Improve system quality through testing, monitoring, and operational improvements.Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.Support efforts to reduce technical debt and improve maintainability. Collaboration & Leadership Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and deliver solutions.Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.Participate in design discussions, planning sessions, and technical reviews.Foster a collaborative and learning-oriented engineering culture. Developer Productivity Leverage modern development tools and automation to improve efficiency.Explore emerging technologies and engineering practices that enhance team productivity.Contribute to improvements in development workflows, testing, and documentation. Required Qualifications 7+ years of software development experience.Strong programming experience with Java and Spring Boot.Experience designing and building large-scale web or enterprise applications.Strong understanding of software architecture and distributed systems.Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.Hands-on experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.Experience designing APIs and integrating multiple systems.Understanding of software design patterns, testing strategies, and code quality practices.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Experience working in Agile development environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Spring Batch.Experience with MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with messaging and event-streaming technologies.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.Frontend development experience using React, Angular, or similar frameworks.Experience working with large-scale data platforms or analytics systems.Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows.Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives.
