Location Tokyo, Japan Located in the upscale Akasaka area of Tokyo, our office is a short walk from Akasaka-Mitsuke, Akasaka, and Tameikesanno Stations. About the team As a member of the Finance team reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for assisting with month-end close at the corporate level. This role will also be responsible for the accounting of a subsidiary. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with colleagues and help support a high-growth, multi-entity, global business. What you will do Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for daily accounts receivable and payable operations, as well as assisting with month-end close processes and tax-related activities, such as tax payments and the preparation of ongoing support and backup documentation. Perform daily accounts receivable operations (billing, payment receipts) Perform daily accounts payable operations, including vendor registration, vendor bills, and payments Process employee expense reimbursements Assist the Sr. Accountant with month-end close processes Assist with tax-related activities, including payments and backup preparation Support other ad hoc requests as required Recommend and implement process improvements where identified What we are looking for 1–3 years of experience in general accounting and month-end close procedures Team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments Able to work independently and consistently to support timely reporting for the Sr. Financial Accountant and Accounting Manager Proven time management skills and ability to multitask effectively Experience with NetSuite, Concur, and internet banking is considered an asset Business-level Japanese and conversational-level English Highly motivated to learn, develop new skills, and take on new challenges Proficient in Excel #Associate #LI-RJ1 #Fulltime Work With Impact: Our platform directly helps companies power the world’s supply chains.
