Business Overview

The Group Sales Division, with the mission of expanding the membership value and ecosystem of the Rakuten Group-which encompasses over 70 services-leads branding, creative, marketing, and membership initiatives as a cross-group organization.

We consider the mobile sector to be a fundamental platform of our ecosystem, and as the Group Sales Division, we are further promoting collaboration with Rakuten Mobile.

Department Overview

The Device Business Department is an organization that manages all operations related to products handled by Rakuten Mobile, from procurement to sales.

Within this department, the Device Sales Section is responsible for the logistics strategy for devices and their accompanying accessories.

To efficiently distribute approximately 20 types of smartphones to 1,800 stores nationwide, we formulate SCM (Supply Chain Management) strategies and guide them through to the operational stage, aiming to minimize stockouts and prevent excess inventory.

Position:

Position Details

As the command center for Rakuten Mobile's device logistics strategy, your mission will be to optimize inventory and maximize sales.

You will be responsible for building a device supply system for 1,800 stores nationwide, leading the formulation and operation of SCM strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory of devices and their accompanying accessories.

The responsibilities of this position are as follows:

• Building and negotiating strong partnerships with product manufacturers.
• Managing and executing sales KPIs (revenue, profit, inventory turnover, etc.).
• Formulating inventory allocation strategies and managing sophisticated inventory levels for 1,800 stores nationwide.
• Constructing supply chain operations that balance logistics cost reduction with stockout prevention.

The true appeal of this position lies in the ability to drive "proactive SCM"—going beyond mere administration to leverage a marketing perspective that directly influences purchasing behavior and industry trends.

Mandatory

Qualifications:

• Experience in promoting business with external stakeholders.
• Experience in tasks with a focus on numerical data (KPIs, sales data, etc.).
• English Proficiency: TOEIC score of 600 or higher (or equivalent qualification).
• Experience in managing mid-sized teams (5-10 members) *For Manager positions only.
• Experience in reporting to senior management *For Manager positions only.

Qualifications:

• Work experience related to large-scale distribution strategies.
• Experience in sales planning or business planning.
• Work experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Experience in sales planning utilizing EC (e-commerce) sites.
• At least 10 years of professional work experience.
