Role Description The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the overall technology vision and execution for Reale Mutua Assicurazioni Chieri. The CTO oversees software and product development teams, defines technology architecture, and ensures that IT strategy aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding technology roadmaps, prioritizing projects, managing cross-functional initiatives, and optimizing development processes and tools. The CTO collaborates closely with executive leadership, contributes to budgeting and vendor selection, and establishes cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance standards. This role also mentors technical leaders, builds inclusive high-performing teams, and fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Qualifications Strong background in Software Development and Product Development, with experience delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions.Proficiency in IT Strategy and Architecture, including designing enterprise-level systems and aligning technology investments with business objectives.Demonstrated expertise in Project Management, leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from concept through implementation.Experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries, with knowledge of security, compliance, and risk management best practices.Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, influence decision-making, and present to executive leadership.Track record of building and leading diverse, distributed technical teams, with strong coaching and people-management skills.Familiarity with cloud platforms, modern development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps), and data and analytics capabilities.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
