About the Opportunity: The Software Engineer, Edge develops and maintains backend capabilities for a scalable, vendor-neutral data collection agent deployed across Windows, Linux, and Mac environments. This role plays an important part in ensuring efficient and reliable data collection across a large network of Edge nodes while contributing to the performance, quality, and maintainability of the organization’s telemetry infrastructure. Responsibilities: • Design, build, and optimize software for data collection agents across Windows, Linux, and Mac platforms.• Collaborate with UX designers, Product Managers, and engineering teams to translate requirements into user-friendly, high-performance features.• Manage the software development lifecycle from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and maintenance.• Develop automated tests and test plans to maintain software quality and reliability.• Maintain and support SaaS products, including participation in 24x7 on-call rotations.• Participate in standby, on-call, and off-hours support activities as required. Requirements: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.• Strong understanding of operating system fundamentals, including memory management, CPU scheduling, filesystems, process lifecycles, and networking.• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable software.• Experience using AI tools to accelerate software development and feature delivery.• Professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js.• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.• Experience with assertion frameworks and automated regression testing tools such as Mocha.• Background developing data-intensive applications or data stream processing systems.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Strong ownership mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality software.• Ability to work effectively in remote environments across multiple time zones. Pay Range and Compensation Package: • Base salary range of $145,000–$190,000 USD annually, depending on geographic location and candidate experience.• Eligibility to participate in the Corporate Bonus Program.• Additional compensation may apply based on role, including commissions for eligible sales positions.
