Job Description

HCA is on the lookout for a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Homecare team on a casual basis, with a potential for part-time permanent role (15 hours per week). If you're passionate about making a real difference in the lives of older Australians and want to work in a role that combines clinical expertise with heartfelt care, this could be the opportunity for you!

This is a community-based role supporting our elderly customers in their own homes across South West Sydney. You will be required to travel between clients, ensuring that their care needs are met with compassion and professionalism. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing holistic care and supporting clients in their homes, specifically:

• Delivering clinical and personal care that meets each client's unique needs.
• Developing tailored care plans using your expert clinical judgment and compassion.
• Providing wound care, and supporting clients with medical equipment such as catheters and continence aids.
• Offering social and emotional support, helping clients feel safe, comfortable, and connected.

Let's talk about you!

To be successful in this role, you ideally have experience in Aged Care or Community Home Care, excellent communication skills; both verbal and written, and bring a genuine passion for providing care to older Australians and a commitment to helping them live independently at home.  You will need to have the following to be considered:

• Registered Nurse Qualification with current AHPRA registration
• Valid and completion of courses: First Aid (HLTAID011) and Provide Basic Emergency Life Support (HLTAID010), including Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009)
• Up-to-date COVID vaccinations and Flu vaccine (or willingness to obtain).
• A current driver’s license, access to a reliable car with comprehensive insurance, and willingness to travel between appointments (paid travel).
• National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one.
