About The Role We are seeking a talented and experienced Resiliency Engineer to join Vanguard's Resiliency Engineering Team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-scale software solutions that enhance the reliability, recoverability, and resilience of Vanguard's critical business services. Your work will focus on advancing our existing platforms, such as Pulse, Vanguard's enterprise synthetic monitoring platform, and Enterprise Resiliency Insights, our evolving enterprise resiliency intelligence platform. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge initiatives, including AI-powered resiliency solutions, automated validation processes, and next-generation operational experiences. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in software engineering or related fields. A solid educational background with an undergraduate degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline is required, or an equivalent combination of training and professional experience. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions within enterprise environments. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement cloud-native services, APIs, and automation workflows that enhance system resiliency and operational efficiency.Lead technical discussions on platform architecture, contributing to the design and development of scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.Collaborate with SREs, product owners, architects, and engineering teams to identify resiliency challenges and develop innovative solutions.Create reusable frameworks, automation tools, and AI-enabled capabilities to reduce operational toil and improve decision-making processes.Implement automated resiliency validation, policy enforcement, and evidence collection to ensure continuous compliance and risk mitigation.Mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and provide production support to ensure high-quality deliverables.Contribute to observability, reliability, and performance initiatives to uphold operational excellence standards.Participate in special projects and assume additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
