This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager, Automation based in Canada. As a Product Manager, Automation, you’ll turn manual operational workflows into reliable, scalable automation across a fast-moving advertising technology platform. You’ll work across Finance, Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering to identify high-impact opportunities and translate operational knowledge into practical product solutions. The role is highly execution-focused, with an emphasis on shipping working automation and demonstrating measurable reductions in manual effort. You’ll own initiatives spanning billing, bug management, campaign optimization, and sales growth workflows. You’ll partner closely with engineers to ensure solutions are tested, safely deployed, monitored, and equipped with appropriate safeguards. You’ll also help shape the future automation roadmap, including opportunities involving AI-enabled tooling. This is a 12-month remote contract offering meaningful ownership without people-management responsibilities. Accountabilities Map existing manual workflows across Finance, Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering to identify opportunities where automation can generate the greatest operational impact.Translate operational knowledge, playbooks, support information, team expertise, and data into clear product requirements, priorities, and delivery plans.Own the delivery of automation initiatives across key areas including invoice validation, bug intake and triage, campaign bid management, and sales account expansion.Partner closely with Engineering to design, build, test, and safely roll out automation solutions, including appropriate safeguards and rollback plans.Define clear success metrics for each automation initiative and measure real-world adoption, efficiency gains, and business impact beyond initial product launch.Maintain the automation portfolio, including opportunity intake, prioritization, sizing, requirements documentation, and build-versus-buy assessments.Identify emerging opportunities for AI and automation as operational workflows evolve and bring high-potential initiatives to the broader Product team.Build strong working relationships with teams outside of your direct reporting line and create alignment through evidence, communication, and collaboration.Document workflows and processes as they are mapped, creating a stronger foundation for future automation and operational improvements.Prioritize early delivery and validated results, focusing on shipping practical solutions rather than relying solely on long-term planning.Contribute to continuous improvement of automation practices, ensuring solutions remain reliable, scalable, and aligned with operational and business needs. Requirements Demonstrated experience shipping workflow automation that was adopted by teams, with the ability to clearly explain the workflow, solution, adoption, and measurable impact.Strong product management experience translating raw operational input—including playbooks, support logs, team knowledge, and process data—into actionable requirements and product solutions.Technical fluency sufficient to read code or technical documentation and engage directly with Engineering on technical approaches, constraints, and tradeoffs.Experience designing or implementing safeguards, monitoring, or rollback plans for automation that affects live operations, revenue, billing, or other business-critical processes.Ability to work effectively across multiple teams without direct authority, building alignment through data, evidence, communication, and trusted relationships.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify high-leverage opportunities and translate them into measurable outcomes.Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced and evolving environment.Stro
