For our client, we are seeking a Associate Director, Operations, Ebola Response to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space. This role will guide operational execution across a complex, multi-country response effort, ensuring teams have the structure, resources, and coordination needed to deliver effectively in challenging environments.
The Associate Director will partner closely with in-country teams and headquarters to strengthen emergency operations, maintain continuity, and support donor-compliant programming. This position also plays a critical role in aligning field execution, issue resolution, and resource needs with broader response objectives.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually Responsibilities Lead operations for outbreak response activities across multiple countries Coordinate surge staffing, procurement, budget tracking, and issue resolution Build capacity of teams for effective emergency operations and compliance management Ensure high performance through coordination with in-country teams and headquarters for operational continuity Monitor field activities for donor compliance and timely issue resolution Support resource mobilization by identifying operational needs and gaps in programming Act as the main communication liaison on response activities among stakeholders Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communication, Economic Development, Health, or a related field; Project Management Certification preferred 10+ years of relevant experience in business administration, project management, or public health crisis operations, including 3+ years in management Proven track record supporting outbreak response or humanitarian emergencies with cross-functional teams Experience working for an NGO and in insecure environments Fluency in French is an advantage Benefits Employer contributes 7% to a pension plan account 18 days of paid vacation, 12 sick days, and 11 holidays annually for full-time staff Flexible work environment with potential for remote work Opportunities for professional development and training Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
