This role focuses on helping improve large language models by providing expert-level software engineering feedback, code reviews, corrections, and technical evaluations. ## About the Role G2i is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to help train large language models to generate and improve production-quality code. You will use your software engineering expertise to evaluate AI-generated solutions, identify issues, make improvements, and provide detailed reasoning that helps AI systems produce code engineers can confidently use. No prior RLHF or AI training experience is required. ### Key Responsibilities * Compare and rank multiple C++ code solutions based on correctness, efficiency, security, maintainability, and coding standards.* Review AI-generated code and identify logic errors, performance issues, security concerns, and other technical problems.* Repair, refactor, and improve generated code to meet production-quality standards.* Provide detailed written explanations explaining why one implementation is stronger than another.* Contribute ratings, edits, test results, and technical feedback to reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) workflows.* Work with technical documentation and programming language specifications to evaluate solutions accurately.* Maintain a high level of quality and consistency while working in an asynchronous environment. ### Required Qualifications * 3+ years of professional software engineering experience using C++.* Strong code-review and debugging skills.* Ability to quickly identify logic errors, performance bottlenecks, security issues, and implementation weaknesses.* Excellent written communication and attention to detail.* Ability to clearly explain technical decisions and why one solution is preferable to another.* Comfortable working independently with limited oversight.* Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and language specifications.* Valid documentation to work as an independent contractor in your country of residence. ### Preferred Qualifications * Experience with constraint programming is a plus.* Familiarity with AI-generated code evaluation or software quality processes is helpful, but not required.* Experience working in asynchronous or distributed environments. ### AI and RLHF Focus The role contributes to an RLHF workflow in which AI-generated code is evaluated and improved by experienced engineers. Your feedback helps create reward signals that guide reinforcement learning and improve the model's ability to generate, critique, and refine production-quality code. ### Compensation * $30–$70/hour based on location, seniority, and project type.* The majority of projects operate at approximately $30/hour.* Higher rates may be available for senior profiles and specialized projects.* Weekly payments are available through PayPal or Stripe. ### Work Arrangement and Hours * Fully remote within accepted countries and locations.* Minimum commitment of 15 hours per week.* Some projects may offer 40+ hours per week.* Project availability and weekly hours can vary and are not guaranteed.* This engagement is intended to be a flexible contracting opportunity and should not necessarily be relied upon as a sole source of income. ### Contractor Eligibility * US applicants participate as 1099 independent contractors.* This role is not compatible with F-1 OPT, STEM OPT, or visa statuses requiring W-2 employment, guaranteed hours, or employer sponsorship.* Applications are accepted only from approved countries and locations.* Applicants must complete identity verification and confirm valid documentation to work as an independent contractor in their country of residence.* G2i cannot provide offer letters or employment verification for this contractor engagement. ## Equal Opportunity G2i is committed to providing equal opportunity to quali
