Healthcare Integration Engineer

The Healthcare Integration Engineer is a key role responsible for understanding client needs, proposing tailored solutions, and solving complex interoperability challenges. This role requires a blend of InterSystems technical expertise, strong communication and customer service skills, and a deep understanding of healthcare workflows. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, IHE, FHIR, C-CDA, X12) to build scalable, secure, and efficient solutions. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or a related field preferred. Equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience may meet this requirement.InterSystems Experience: Hands on technical expertise with one or more of the InterSystems products (HealthShare, Health Connect, IRIS for Health, etc.).Healthcare IT Knowledge: Understand healthcare IT landscapes, including EHRs, Payers, HIEs, and other healthcare systems.Interoperability Concepts: Knowledge of interoperability standards (HL7, IHE, FHIR, C-CDA, X12) and integration technologies.Programming Languages: Strong programming skills in languages like Caché ObjectScript, Java, Python, or JavaScript.Solution Design: Contribute to the design of technical solutions, working closely with technical teams. Build process flow diagrams and solution design documentation.Database Knowledge: Understanding of InterSystems Caché and SQL databases.Cloud Technologies: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure). Integration Development and Maintenance Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement integration solutions based on technical requirements.Interface Configuration: Configure and maintain interfaces to ensure reliable data exchange.Data Mapping and Transformation: Map and transform data between different systems to ensure data integrity.Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure integration solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.Deployment and Maintenance: Deploy integration solutions to production environments and provide ongoing support and maintenance. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex software and connectivity issues.Performance Optimization: Identify and optimize integration performance bottlenecks.Security and Compliance: Adhere to security best practices and compliance regulations.
