Lead Data Engineer - Databricks (Remote)

Your Role as a Tech LeadAs a Tech Lead, Data Engineering, you will own the technical direction of data initiatives while remaining hands-on. You’ll act as the bridge between architecture, execution, and people leadership. What You’ll DoOwn the technical direction and architecture of data engineering projectsDesign and build scalable, production-grade data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, AWS, and SQLLead by example with hands-on development, code reviews, and technical decision-makingMentor and guide data engineers, promoting best practices, clean code, and high engineering standardsDrive architectural discussions, trade-offs, and long-term technical visionCollaborate closely with product, data, and engineering stakeholdersTackle enterprise-scale data challenges with real-world business impact business outcomes What We’re Looking For10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related rolesProven experience as a Tech Lead, Lead Data Engineer, or similar roleStrong hands-on expertise with: Python & SQL, PySpark, Databricks and AWSSolid background in data architecture, pipeline design, and distributed systemsExperience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiativesStrong communication skills and the ability to influence technical decisionsFluent in English (spoken and written) This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in Latin America (LATAM). While location is flexible, candidates must be willing to maintain at least a 6-hour overlap with core business hours, which are primarily aligned with the Pacific, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration with project teams.
