Full Stack Java & Angular Engineer | Mid & Senior 🚀 Build. Modernise. Scale.📍 Portugal – Remote ✈️ International Industry 💼 Permanent Contract 💰 Mid-level: up to €35k | Senior: up to €42k We’re looking for Full Stack Java & Angular Engineers to join a highly skilled international engineering team working on the next evolution of a suite of business-critical applications. The existing platform is successfully running in production and is now entering a major new phase involving new development, application modernisation and refactoring, scalability improvements and multiple technical streams. This is an opportunity to work on complex, data-intensive applications using a modern Java, Angular, AWS and microservices stack. What you'll be doingDevelop backend services using Java & Spring BootBuild frontend applications with Angular & TypeScriptDesign and integrate REST APIsWork with SQL and NoSQL databasesContribute to microservices, modernisation and refactoringParticipate in user story refinement, estimates and technical solution designWork across coding, testing, build and deployment activitiesImprove application performance, scalability and reliabilityTroubleshoot and resolve complex application issuesCollaborate with engineers, architects and international stakeholdersSupport existing production applications alongside new developmentParticipate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation for critical P1/P2 production incidents once fully onboarded Technical RequirementsStrong experience with Java & Spring BootSolid hands-on experience with Angular & TypeScriptExperience with REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL and microservicesHands-on experience with AWS – S3, Aurora, EKS and Route 53Experience with Docker & KubernetesFamiliarity with Terraform, Gradle and LiquibaseExperience with Git/Bitbucket, Jira & ConfluenceUnderstanding of modern CI/CD and software engineering practicesStrong written and spoken English Nice to have: Python, AWS Glue/Athena, Snowflake, Power BI, SAML/OIDC and secure coding practices (OWASP). Experience: typically 3+ years for Mid-level and 5+ years for Senior-level.
