About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SoC Modeling Engineer to join our team at Annapurna Labs. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining functional models of our custom-designed System on Chips (SoCs) that are integral to AWS’s Machine Learning servers. Your work will involve creating comprehensive C++ and SystemC models that simulate the behavior of complex hardware accelerators, enabling internal teams and partners to test, verify, and optimize their systems efficiently. You will collaborate closely with architecture, RTL design, verification, emulation, and software teams to ensure the models are accurate, scalable, and easy to use. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the development of next-generation ML hardware and contribute to groundbreaking innovations in cloud computing and AI. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of professional experience in software development, with a strong background in modeling hardware systems such as SoCs, ASICs, TPUs, GPUs, or CPUs. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent field is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in C++, SystemC, and familiarity with Python for scripting and tooling. Proven experience in designing, developing, and scaling complex software systems throughout their lifecycle is essential. Leadership skills, including mentoring, guiding design decisions, and managing development projects, are highly valued. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, learning new technologies rapidly, and collaborating effectively within small, agile teams within a larger organizational structure. Responsibilities Develop and own comprehensive SoC functional models, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability from architecture to deployment.Design and implement model architectures, integrating them seamlessly with other models and infrastructure components.Collaborate with architecture, RTL design, verification, emulation, and software teams to debug, validate, and optimize models.Innovate on tooling and interfaces to make it easier for internal and external customers to utilize our models effectively.Drive continuous improvements in model and infrastructure performance, supporting the scaling of models to meet evolving requirements.Create maintainable, well-documented software that can be reused and improved over time.Participate in code reviews, testing, and operational support to ensure high-quality deliverables.Work closely with internal teams and external partners to understand their needs and tailor models accordingly.
