Role Description This full-time, on-site Data Center Engineer role is based in the USA and is responsible for the stable, secure, and efficient operation of data center environments. The Data Center Engineer will monitor and maintain data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and hardware systems, while ensuring adherence to operational standards and procedures. Daily tasks include performing hardware installations and cabling, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, and responding to incidents and service requests. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, providing hands-on technical support, documenting configurations and changes, and collaborating with network, systems, and facilities teams to maintain high availability and performance. The engineer will also contribute to capacity planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance with safety and security policies. Qualifications Ability to manage and maintain Data Center Operations and Data Center Infrastructure in a mission-critical environment.Strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills for hardware, connectivity, and infrastructure-related issues.Practical experience with Cabling, including structured cabling standards, physical installations, and cable management best practices.Knowledge of power, cooling, and environmental monitoring systems commonly used in data centers.Familiarity with networking and server hardware, virtualization platforms, and basic operating system administration.Strong documentation skills and attention to detail for configuration tracking, incident reports, and change management.Ability to work on-site, lift and move equipment as needed, and follow safety and security protocols.Relevant technical certification (e.g., data center, networking, or systems) or equivalent practical experience is preferred.Excellent problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
