1. Who we are

Peer Portal provides an AI-assisted career and hiring platform for job seekers and recruiters, including job discovery, matching, resumes, portfolios, assessments, and related tools available at peerportal.app.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use Peer Portal. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

3. Roles and permitted use

Students and job seekers may use the platform to build profiles, discover opportunities, and apply to roles. Recruiters may use the platform to post jobs, evaluate candidates, and manage hiring workflows. You agree not to misuse the service, including by scraping, spamming, impersonating others, posting illegal or discriminatory content, attempting to bypass security, or using the platform to harass users.

4. Content you submit

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as resumes, profiles, and job posts). You grant Peer Portal a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, display, and use that content as needed to operate and improve the service and to show it to other users when you choose to make it visible or submit applications.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit the content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

5. AI-generated outputs and data handling

AI features may generate suggestions, summaries, recommendations, or other outputs using Peer Portal’s own AI models and systems. In some cases, those features may also use trusted third-party AI providers to help fulfill a request. Outputs can be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed before use. Peer Portal does not guarantee interview outcomes, job offers, or hiring decisions. You remain responsible for decisions you make based on AI outputs.

By using AI features, you understand that content you submit for a request may be processed by Peer Portal AI and, when needed, by assisting third-party model providers solely to fulfill that request, subject to our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal data. Details on encryption, trust commitments, and what we do not share are described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Jobs and third-party opportunities

Job listings may come from Peer Portal users, partner sources, or imported public listings. We do not control every employer or third-party site and are not responsible for their hiring practices, application processes, or employment decisions. Always verify opportunities independently before sharing sensitive information.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Some features require a paid plan. Pricing, billing intervals, and plan limits are described on the Pricing page or at checkout. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise. We may change plans or pricing with notice where required.

8. Intellectual property

The Peer Portal name, branding, software, design, and platform content (excluding your user content) are owned by Peer Portal or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the platform except as allowed by law or with our written permission.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or if we discontinue the service. You may stop using Peer Portal and request account closure at any time, subject to any outstanding obligations.

10. Disclaimers

Peer Portal is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Peer Portal and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the service will not exceed the amounts you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $100 if you have not paid us.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Peer Portal from claims arising out of your content, your use of the platform, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Peer Portal operates its primary business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer protections apply.
